Rwanda has still to become a major tourist attraction, yet it deserves to take its place among
the foremost countries, tourists would choose to explore .
Any one visiting "the land of a thousand hills" is in for a multitude of surprises
Firstly, the loveliness and variety of landscapes in this green country, dominate to
the north by volcanoes and bordered by lake Kivu to the west,
then the wealth of traditions of its cattle raising and farming people.
Here in Rwanda, the great animals are protected from poachers and are free to
roam in vast natural parks.
The star attraction is volcanoes national park, in the Birunga volcanic chain.

It is in this high attitude forest world that the famous mountain Gorillas timid and pacific giants deeply attached to their families can be met face to face.
